October 1st Updates

Hi all,

It looks like it’s going to be a hectic last quarter.  Please be sure to email us ASAP so that we can help you pick the best solutions for your specific situation.

Grand Mothering for Small Group Health Insurance ends December 1, 2015.    Unfortunately,  President Obama’s promise of lower rates didn’t work out.  Many Employers may see 50 to 90% rate increases.   Free Quotes are available by sending your census or entering it ONLINE.   We are sending out direct mail to let Small Employers know.

Medicare Advantage information for 2016 will be available October 1st, with enrollment starting October 15th.

Individuals and Families will have their Open Enrollment starting 11.1.2015.   Blue Cross and Blue Shield’s information has just been posted.  Assurant is leaving the CA Market Place.   A new plan, Oscar is coming in.   UHP – Pacificare who left in 2014 is coming back on a limited basis.  Watch our Individual website for updates.   A few minor changes have been made to Enhanced Silver and the Metal Level Benefits.  If you qualify for tax credits we have that information here.  The penalty for not having coverage in 2016 increases to 2.5% of income.   Life, Disability, Retirement and Long Term Care are NOT covered!  Email me to discuss those vital c overages in January we things slow down.

Narrow lists have been quite problematic and confusing.  I thought President Obama promised if we liked our doctor we could keep him.  Here’s our links to all the provider lists.   The CA Health Care Foundation just came out with a 20 page report on the issues of accurate lists.  CA DOI, Dept of Managed Care and Consumer Reports just came out with a new tool to estimate your costs for health care.

I know we don’t post that often.  I find it much easier to find the pages that need to be updated with the latest information in the static pages as they are more hierarchical.   Here’s the XML Site Maps that Word Press automatically makes to let the search engines know of all the new content on our website.  We update constantly.
